Dementia Care Companion App on iPhone

The Client needed a senior developer to take ownership of their React Native app. We built live location tracking and SOS features, geofencing, family calendars, and reminders. We added automated tests for new features, used AI agents to speed up development, and manually tested every release on both iOS and Android. As a result, we were able to ship releases twice as fast as before.

Challenge

The app already ran on React Native and families used it every day, but releases lagged and quality checks could not keep pace with the roadmap. The Client needed a senior mobile engineer who could own geolocation, family features and iOS and Android delivery without splitting the codebase.

Our role

One CleverLabs mobile engineer joined the product team for five months and owned the React Native app on iOS and Android. We built live location and SOS, geofencing, reminders, shared calendars and family circles in the Client app, and shipped every release to the App Store and Google Play from one codebase.

How it started

We reached out on LinkedIn. The Client hired a senior mobile engineer from CleverLabs to develop the React Native app, implement geolocation features and improve release quality, with pricing that fit their budget.

Team

One CleverLabs engineer covering the React Native app, geolocation, push notifications and release QA, working alongside the Client’s product team.
